As evening sets over the city, a tranquil atmosphere descends upon the ancient site. Artistic lighting highlights the antiquities, and in the King’s Garden, between the ancient olive trees, the musical sounds of a harp can be heard over a hot cup of coffee.
Our evening tours begin with a night-time overlook of the city at our “Hatzofeh” lookout point from which one can understand the unique location of the Biblical City of David in relationship to Jerusalem’s Old City walls. An impressive 3D movie of Jerusalem’s glorious history is followed by a night-time guided tour of the City of David site, accompanied by stunning lighting displays that highlight the newest archaeological discoveries from the Biblical Period. The tour continues to the Royal Quarter (Area G) where a new and artistic light show is screened against the backdrop of the antiquities, telling the story of the City of Davidthrough sounds and movements.
Opening Hours:
The City of David will be open every Thursday until 10:30pm without interruption.
Last entrance to the site one hour before closing.
There are two ways to enjoy this experience:
Guided Tour:
Thursdays at 6:00pm in Hebrew, 9:00pm in English
Length of tour: One hour and 15 minutes
Cost: 35 NIS per adult and 25 NIS per child

Site Entrance:
Individuals and groups can enjoy the 3D movie and sound & light show with a regular entrance ticket to the site. (25 NIS per adult, 13 NIS per child)
